Life after hospital

Well here we are in Henham.  Yesterday was a very emotional day.  The carers came around 9.30 this morning and got Ron washed and dressed while standing in the bathroom.  Not sure how they did it as I was not in there.  The carers came again at 12 - nothing to do, 3.40 and we are waiting for the third visit maybe for the toilet.  Ron was able to get himself in to bed and up using the slide board and we have done a couple of transfers using the rotastand.  The problem now will be boredom as there are no nurses backwards and forwards and absolutely no gossip.  I don't know when we will hear from the physio and how much attention we will get.  We must just wait and see.  Ron has not been able to do much in the way of exercise but I think he is emotionally exhausted which is affecting his strength.  He is of course disappointed in himself.  4.00 and carers have just arrived.

As for me, I am busy writing lists for all the things I need from home and trying to ignore the daytime TV.  After the initial rain this has been a lovely day blue sky and sunshine.  We opened the patio doors for a while and enjoyed some fresh air.
