Wintry June

1st June today and the central heating is on!

However marigolds are all planted, quite pleased as these were all grown from seed, Ron used tweezers to plant one seed in each mini pot.
We have taken a chance and planted up the begonias in the baskets, they were only just beginning to show signs of growing.  Ron has doubled up so only half the baskets are done and we have ordered some more plants, hopefully they will come soon.
After having two weekends away in April, May was relatively quiet.  We went to The Duck at Newney Green with RREC, we used our Christmas present voucher to go to The Cricketers at Clavering for Ron's birthday which was very nice, we went to Lorraine's house for dinner one Thursday evening and then on 29th we had another trip to Royal Tiger with JDC.

Ron has been extending the lengths of his walks gradually and practicing on stepping up and down on single steps.  Steps are still difficult unless thy have a handrail but practice makes perfect.

There is some brilliant news Ron has been able to move his fore finger on his left hand, it's only a small movement and he has to concentrate really hard but it is a great first step.

We are taking the Cloud to the painters today to get a few bits and pieces done and then move the Mark Ten to the front garage - the MOT is due mid June so we need to get it running smoothly.   Plus we have just booked to go to Lancashire, near Burnley in September so it needs to be as bug free as possible .

We have had some nice days over the past four weeks but the past 2 days have been like winter and the forecast is for more of the same, very depressing.

I am keeping well on the whole and I have been out and about on my club outings.

I will be back at the end of the month unless there is anything major to report, thanks for reading.
